Hi

I'm running DNN 4.03.05 with FM 1.05.04

I've created a form with approx 25 fields (textboxes, textareas and checkboxes), about 5 of which have Required Field Validators attached. This functioned fine for a number of months. One day it stopped working - I did nothing, I promise - specifically when the submit button was clicked the form was clearly posting back to the server, but simply returned with a fresh blank form. No "Thank you" message was shown nor email sent. In addition the RFVs did not throw any complaints if the form was submitted with a missing required field.

I managed to fix this by exporting the XML, and re-constituting the form on a new page - after which it continued to operation normally for several months. However I'm now having the issue again.

Do you have any recommendations on how to proceed?

Many thanks

Paul

As servers get upgraded with Service Packs and other components, properties in IIS sometimes get changed. I have seen this before. The issue is usually due to the server not serving the
WebResource.axd file properly which contains all the javascript used by the ASP.NET
form controls like the Validators.

what is probably happening is a script error because the script is not there which sends the request to the server.

Have your host verify that in the script mappings in IIS for AXD files that "Check File Exists" is un-checked.

I can confirm that "Verify file exists" is un-checked for the AXD application extension mapping on my DotNetNuke website entry in IIS 6.0 - however I've had to re-constitute the page using the method mentioned previously as this was affecting a customer, and therefore I am unable to replicate the problem any more.

I'm keen to hear any other thoughts you may have.
