I have been bitten by this error:

A critical error has occurred.
Control 'ctl__20070427T151305' referenced by the ControlToCompare property of 'cv__20070427T154155' cannot be validated.

The problem is now I cannot get back into the form to fix the problem. How do you work around this?

Ok, I have hit the end of the road here. I export, fix, then get an error that the file is not valid. I export, download, validate and find that the exported file is not even valid. Please let me know where I can send the file so you can fix it. This is an issue that needs fixed sooner than later. There needs to be a more graceful recovery method so that the whole form is not trashed when the program currupts the form. I am not too happy about this product right at the moment. It has great potential, but does need this issue addressed asap.

I have been bitten by this same problem! I have looked at the link you gave above, however it doesn't help me as the option to export the form isn't available. HELP!

Look in your Event Viewer and get the ModuleId for the problem form.

If you have access to your SQL Server Management Console run the Script below.  It will work from Host > SQL but the result is hidden in the page Source If you can get the entire content send it to steve at this domain

I also have the next version ready if you want to upgrade. This will not fix the existing problem but will get you access to the Export Import menu. This version does prevent this problem from happening again. If you decide to go with the new version you will still need to export and send to me for repair

Select FormDefinition From C5SLLC_Form Where ModuleId = ###
