Hello,

I understand from reading the documentation that files without the "allowed" extensions can't be uploaded...

I need to get around this limitation! My customers could upload one of probably a hundred different types of files. I don't care what they upload. I want people to be able to send me EXE files, ZIP files, any type of CAD file, any type of image file, etc.

I tried putting a * in the "file upload extensions"... which didn't work.

Thank you,

Derek Backus

Add the specific extensions in host > settings DotNetNuke does not support *.*

So I have to know in advance what file types my customers may use and there is no way to tell Form Master to ignore the DNN settings?

If this is the case, I would suggest this as a feature request.

Too bad, this defeats the purpose of the module for me :(

Thanks, Derek

Form Master follows the file Upload Rule pattern designed into DotNetNuke. In situations where a Host sells Web sites to customers, this pattern, allows the Host to specify what type of file any of their customers can accept in any part of the application.

A developer creating a module which would violate this design pattern would be creating a security hole, and would be totally irresponsible.

If you are the host, and want to upload any type of file you, can always purchase the source code for the module and modify it any way you like.

This will never be a feature.
