hello,
I am using formmaster for making many forms. Now ik try to use Formmaster to update records in an external table in stead of adding records. With query options I can retrieve records form the external table. Now I am looking how I can update them. Who can help me?

No sorry at this time you cannot use Form Master to update existing records. This will be in the next feature release in Q1 2010

Could you provide an anticipated date for this functionality.  We really need to be able to update records in tables and without that feature we may need to consider another module.  I really like Form Master so I don't want to switch.

Is there any update on the release for 2010?  I also need the database update capability.

Thank you,

Joe

I am sorry to say that things are going slowly in this area due to some illness. I should have something soon. The edit existing data is done but I need to do some stabilization checking before I would let anything out the door.
The new version will also require .NET 3.5 and DNN 5.3+

Let me first say I love your product and I have found your support good.  We have been waiting for a new release for a while, and I understand that there is an illness that has slowed things down. Please make sure that the new release be solid and live up to the wait.

Is it on track for release soon 2nd qtr 2010?

Judy,

I will have it out by the end of this quarter. The feature list will be released first week in June.

Am I reading this correctly...you will require DNN 5.3+ for database update capability?  If that is the case, I will need to switch products b/c I do not have DNN 5 and I am not ready to upgrade at this point.

Cogsy,

After considering your post, I have decided to keep two paths for Form Master and include some small functionality in the DNN 4.x path. Please expect a minor release with the data update within two weeks with the data editing capability.

I would love to test the new version of this module.  I tried the demo of your previous module and edit capability is the only reason we didn't buy.  Is there a demo version to download of the new version?

Scott,

I added Rich Text editor as a option but found an issue when editing concerning FCKEditor and AJAX that I am trying to workout. I am on vacation staring tomorrow for a week, but will get back to you when I have that taken care of.
