We have a form built with Form master 2008 which uses the file upload function. When testing the form using Firefox 3.5.5 on the mac we have found that it is impossible to clear the field (or unattach a file) once a file has been selected. If you place a cursor into the field the browser automatically pops up before you have a chance to try to delete the path to the file.

If you are wiley, you can select cancel so the cursor is still in the field. You can then select all but delete does not clear the field. In IE the user can at least select the content and delete it.

Do you have any suggestions on how we might correct this issue. Would it be possible to add a Clear button to your application to allow the user to clear the content of the field?

I will have to fire up my Mac Mini and get it updated.

I will make a test page with only the standard ASP.NET upload control on it, which is what Form Master uses and see it the behavior is the same and go from there.

This is a FireFox 3.5.5 Issue.
In windows go to Admin -> File Manager and use the upload function.
I have not checked on the Mac
