We created a few forms after purchasing FM2008 and have come across an issue that I'm not sure about.  On our forms, we have Email field and I have configured the Form Settings to use this Form field as the "FROM" address.  Unfortunately, when we use this setting we get the error below when submitting a new form.  Oddly, one of our forms works just fine with this setting.  Any idea what is going on here?

"Mailbox name not allowed. The server response was: Sorry, your envelope sender is in my badmailfrom list."

Here is what the logs show...

DefaultDataProvider: DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider

The problem is exactly what is stated by the message returned from the SMTP server. I would check with who ever hosts your Email SMTP server and find out why those emails are in the badmailfrom list.

That seems logical but why does our basic Contact Us form (FM2008), which is configured to use the same Email field as the "From" field....work just fine then?

Btw, I contacted GoDaddy and they didn't think they had a server error message like that one.  They also asked for the error code (typically 5xx code).  I couldn't find one to provide them.  Is this something you surpress and if so, is there some way to determine the actual error code you are receiving?

It maybe using the same field but is the resulting email address the same. Bottom line is the email functionality in Form Master has been vetted for almost 5 years now and it just simply works. Issues are related to issues of rejection from SMTP servers.

BTW: Neither DNN, nor Form Master 2008 have this email message. Try forcing the From email address in the problem form with the same on that works on the working form and see if that works.

Both the working & problem form are using the same "From" setting...which is Form Field - Email. And the "To" setting is identical as well. Thats the thing that has me head scratching.

I understand they are both using the same setting of "Form Field" BUT is the email address from that same form field the same?
