We are wondering if there is a way to customize the error message returned when a db table is linked to a form with a unique index on one of the fields and the user submits the form with duplicate data to an existing record. Currently the form returns the following message: "Cannot insert duplicate key row in object xxx with unique index 'IX_UniqueEmail'. The statement has been terminated." We would like to create a more user friendly message like: "

MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
<style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} </style> We’re sorry, the email address provided already exists in our database. As you can probably tell he error message comes directly from the database server. What I can do is add a Key in the local resources file and check for a value there and use that instead of the DB server error. Because of the Memorial Day weekend holiday for me this will take up to two weeks to get a minor release out.

Certainly...sorry it took so long to get back to you, I didn't check in for a while. How do I get the code? My email is
dgray@sitelab.com
. Question: does the forum notify via email of replies?

I have added the DNN Rich Text Editor to the choice of Field Types, but have found on Editing a Record the data is not updated because in module edit mode Form Master uses AJAX. Once I resolve this I will make the code available.
