Note: This was from Marcelo Hello Steven, I bought your Form Master 1.1 DNN 3 and would like to thank you for putting the effort to develop such great module. I am very pleased with the features the module offers and if I may, would like to give you a couple of suggestions to make this solution even better: 1) Would it be possible to add other HTML tags to your "Type" drop-down list on the "Input Control" page? A simple tag such as the fieldset tag below to give the end-user a description ability. A scenario would be for long forms - like the one I have - we need to split the form into sections and each section needs a brief description. 2) On the same note, you should investigate the FIELDSET and LEGEND tags, here's an example: http://www.csufresno.edu/webaccess/...vanced.htm 3) It would be REALLY nice if we could apply COLSPAN and ROWSPAN to the main form table. I'd really appreciate if you could let me know if you'd be motivated in doing and the feasibility of releasing a new update any time before the end of the year. Cheers, Marcelo |

Yes to the excellence of the module!
Quite a few site admin's are requesting a file upload option. One way it has been done with a competitive module is that it stores the file on the server (for the admin to retrieve later), which prevents email attachment size-limit issues. An email kicks to the site admin when a new file is posted. |

I agree with the above suggestions - my users want to be able to format and chunk the form out - join some columns and put only one question where in the previous row there might be more - intersperse questions with text/html input. In addition to colspan and rowspan, styling for | and - perhaps select a default style at the top but then have the option to change it for each. This would meet many of our needs. Additionally I have some other more complex thoughts which I have sent privately. |

You have already exposed the country and region lists from the host | lists area. How about the ability to expose any such list and select it as values for a ddl? A caveat on this would be that the host would also want to have a choice about which lists might be exposed and which suppressed, so probably need a crosswalk and a host config area. The exposure might also leverage DNN Security Roles ... This would mean that the host could install reusable lists for survey purposes. Of course, it would also be nice to bind the ddl to a dataset ... :) |

I like the calendar option that is listed in the roadmap along with the suggestions above. I do have a few more.
1. Allow the placement of just text within a cell, rather than a field. Sometimes it is nice to put in a bit of text that might explain the next few fields 2. Having a field perform a calculation, such as adding up a row or column of entries 3. Hidden fields would be nice.

One other suggestion. A simple method to clear out entries in the database.

No moderate message. Sorry I am late. I have tried the Calendar but it has not worked out well so far. This feature will not make it in the next release. 1. Next release has a Label Control when used with ColSpan or RowSpan can be used to provide information to users. 2. Seems like a reporting funciton. I am planning on a Reports Module after the next release. 3. I will consider this after the next version. |

SUBMIT BUTTON
It would be a very useful feature to enable the user to place the submit button as if it were a form element and to be able to aplce it left, center and right within that cell.
Further, multiple submit buttons would enable a single form to handle multiple functions where key data is collected as required at the top of the form (such as name and email address) and also more optional data is at the bottom of the form. It is common practice to have a submit button after the first required data and also one at the very bottom of the form.
Also - submit BUTTON!!! - there's just no impact with simple text!! if it were a button it could easily be CSS'd
Also - change the text on the button - sometimes we need it to say "Find out more >>" or "Save Now >>" submit just doesn't do it.
Otherwise - everything very cool.
Cheers,
D. |

Not sure if this is a feature already if not I would like to suggest it. Is it possible to have a user complete the form in survey mode and then come back and "update" their responses? Also, is it possible when a user signs up with their First Name, Last Name, and Email that we can add this information automatically to a form? I am using Form Master 01.05.05. Thank you, Alex |

The survey suggeston really breaks the way the survey mode works right now. Features are gennerally added by quantity of requests. This one will be added to the list as the with one request. If a user is logged in the fields can be populated with information from the user profile using the Auto Fill feature. |

This would mean that the host could install reusable lists for survey purposes. Of course, it would also be nice to bind the ddl to a dataset ... :) I second this motion. Even if you could save your key/value lists for reuse within the module (or copy values from another question) it would be great. I was asked to emulate a form with a lot of "Yes/No" radio button groups and it was very time consuming. This functionality alone would easily double the value of this module for me. It would also be nice to be able to specify a "correct" answer for questions and have it indicated in the email report whether the correct answer was specified. |
